How to Install Agent Templates on agents.pinata.cloud
Agent Templates change how agents are built.
Today, we launched Agent Templates, which means instead of starting from scratch--wiring APIs, configuring tools, and debugging workflows--you can now install a fully working agent in less than two minutes.
Why Agent Templates Matter
Before Agent Templates, building an agent meant manually connecting APIs, designing workflows from scratch, and endlessly testing and debugging.
Agent Templates flip that model.
Now, you:
- Start with a working agent
- Get pre-configured tools and logic
- Customize only what you need
Agent Templates eliminate the cold-start problem and make agents reliable, repeatable, and production-ready from day one.

Step 1: Go to Pinata Agents
Go to agents.pinata.cloud and open the Agents Dashboard. You'll see your existing agents (if any) and the option to create a new agent under 'My Agents'.
There are two ways to get started with Agent Templates.
Option 1:
- Click Create Agent
- Choose the option to start from a Template
Option 2:
- Go to the Agent Marketplace to browse all of the Agent Templates
- Click the Agent Template you're interested in
- Click Deploy This Agent
You'll have the option to select any of the available templates from our launch partners, including:
Each template represents a fully configured agent, designed for a specific use case.
When you select one, you're not just choosing a starting point; you're installing:
- Predefined tools
- Built-in workflows
- Context and logic
This is what enables you to go from zero → working agent instantly.
Step 2: Configure Your AI Provider
The AI Provider is the model your agent uses to think, respond, and take action. Example AI Providers are Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, and Venice.
Once you select the AI Provider you want to use, you'll add your API Key and save it. This connects the template's logic to a model so the agent can run.
Step 3: Set Up Channels
Configuring channels is where your agent works and interacts with users. Channels define how people or systems communicate with your agent. You can choose from Telegram, Slack, or Discord and configure them with the Bot Token and any other required information for that specific channel. You can also add any required environment variables and secrets, such as PINATA_GATEWAY_URL.
Step 4: Launch Your Agent
Once you've configured your AI Provider and Channels, it's time to launch. Click Deploy Agent.
That's it. You have a fully functional agent running.
What Just Happened (And Why It's a Big Deal)
In a traditional setup, this process could take hours or even days. With Agent Templates, you skipped manual integration, avoided designing workflows from scratch, and eliminated most debugging. You started with something that already works--that's the real unlock.
After launching your agent from an Agent Template, you can modify tools, extend workflows, add new skills and capabilities, and change how the agent behaves. Agent Templates are a foundation you can build on.
The templates available today from our partners are a curation of agents that will help you launch faster and build with confidence. More Agent Templates coming soon from MoonPay, Privy, and more!
