Announcing the Sponge Wallet Agent Template

AI agents can plan, call APIs, and complete tasks. The hard part starts when money enters the workflow.

Paying for services requires accounts and keys. Moving funds requires wallets and manual steps. Spending online usually means a human has to stop the workflow, open another app, and approve everything by hand.

That makes financial agents difficult to build and even harder to trust.

The Sponge Wallet Agent Template gives your agent its own securely managed crypto wallet, bank account, and credit card, separate from yours. It can move money, make payments, and interact with financial services while keeping every action observable and controlled.

Money movement built into the agent

Sponge gives the agent a single place to manage financial activity across crypto and traditional rails.

It can transfer, bridge, swap, and trade with crypto wallets. It can send and receive ACH or wire transfers through virtual bank accounts. It can create and fund virtual cards for online purchases. It can also pay for API services through x402 and MPP without needing an API key or account.

This turns payments from a separate workflow into something the agent can handle directly.

Simple post-deploy flow

The setup is straightforward. Deploy the template on Pinata, open the chat, and the agent registers its Sponge Wallet. From there, it gives you a claim link to connect the agent to your Sponge account.

Once funded, the agent can check balances, prepare transfers, swap or bridge tokens, trade on Polymarket or Hyperliquid, send ACH or wire payments, fund a virtual card, or discover and pay for x402 and MPP APIs.

By default, transactions over $1 require explicit confirmation. Spending limits and controls are configurable.

Available now on OpenClaw

The Sponge Wallet Agent Template is live in the marketplace, giving builders a starting point for agents that can hold funds, make payments, and operate across financial systems with real oversight.
